Construction starts January 6th - NEW PICK UP/DROP OFF PROCEDURES!
Soon, a construction barrier will be in place to secure the area on the west side of our school for the construction of our new 10,000 square foot cafeteria, kitchen, and our new two-lane parent loop. This area will be off limits to us for the next twelve months. Beginning on January 6, the parent drop off/pickup will be in the front drive of the school for the next twelve months. This will be an inconvenience but will be well worth it when we open the doors to our new cafeteria and kitchen in January 2021.
With this, we will have to utilize new drop off and pick up procedures before and after school. See the map to better understand the new procedures.
Morning: Parents will use two lanes to drop off their child. Parents dropping off K-5 students need to be in the lane closest to the school. Once you enter the “Drop Off Zone,” students exit the vehicle immediately. Do not wait till you get to the front door. We will have plenty of hands on deck to help.
Afternoon: Parent vehicles will line up in the front of the school in two lanes. At dismissal, vehicles will need to merge into one lane as they exit onto Main Street. Only bus riders will exit the back of the school to load buses. We can’t stress enough that absolutely no parent pick-up will be permitted in the back of the school.
After school activities: Parents can continue to pick up their child at the front of the school. When we host ball games, school assemblies, etc. you will need to park in a parking spot on a first come, first serve basis. Parking can be obtained at the front of the school, at the Board Office, and at Burgin Baptist Church.
